Oh Great, Both My State Reps Are Possible Crooks
Both my state Senator (Joy Padgett) and Representative (Jennifer Garrison) seem to be caught up in some sort of controversy over unemployment taxes. I'm not really fond of either of them.

Garrison and Padgett met with a bureau official in October 2005 after a Cambridge bakery complained its premiums were rising from $5,000 to around $43,000 a year.
The same month the bureau authorized an 82 percent reduction for the company, Kennedy's Bakery, continuing a similar reduction it had received the year before. A message was left with bakery co-owner Bob Kennedy.
Both lawmakers said they were doing their jobs as advocates of companies in their districts. "I have never asked the Bureau to bend or violate any rules or laws on my constituents' behalf," Padgett said in a Nov. 16 letter to Donald Petit, deputy director of the Joint Legislative Ethics Committee.
