The Fresh Clean Smell of Unemployment
Over the last few decades the EPA has studied Steubenville, Ohio very closely. It turns out that the air has been getting cleaner but it's come at a cost. The steel mills and plants that used to cause most of the pollution have gone under in recent years due to cheap foreign imports. As one man interviewed answered:
Is the air cleaner? “Yes.”
Is it worth the trade-offs? “I don’t think so.”
