CBS Poll Shows Many Americans Feel Less Safe Since 9/11/01

A CBS poll shows that a lot of Americans feel less safe now than they did before September 11th, 2001. While not a majority, 46% of those polled said they felt "uneasy or in danger". Only 14% said they feel safer now than they did 5 years ago.

By a four-to-one margin (48 percent to 12 percent), Americans think the war in Iraq has made the threat of terrorism against the United States worse rather than better.
