UN Troops Setting Up Shop In Lebanon

The United Nations plans to send 3,500 soldiers to southern Lebanon within 15 days as Israel withdraws its forces after a cease-fire halted more than a month of fighting with Hezbollah.

Lebanon can begin moving the first of its contingent of 15,000 troops to the south from tomorrow, Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad Fatfat said in an interview. ``It all depends on the cooperation of the Israeli army.'' Bloomberg.com
