This Is The Kind Of Stuff That Makes Me Lose Faith In The Democrats

The Democratic Party has announced that they won't challenge the eligibility of candidate Joy Padgett. Padgett's eligibility had been in question due to Ohio's "sore loser" law.

Bryan said...: One of the favorite ideals of democratic progressives is the insistance on having meaningful choices; a variety of voices where those voices have the capacity to be heard.

This seems at odds with Democratic strategies which seek to exclude powerful voices from the other side in the electoral process.

Here's a link to the Ohio revised code. See if you can find the part of the law that prohibits Padgett.
